As Victoria Gallegos finished her last year of high school, she’ll remember it as a journey that she has been able to get the best out of.

“My experience for this year was really good. I had fun though it was stressing with the scholarships, graduation, college and adult things,” Gallegos said.

As a senior, scholarships have been a major thing for her to focus on.

“I think scholarships are cool to do since they will be great help in my future,” Gallegos said.

Graduation has been a moment that she has wanted eagerly as an accomplishment of success. One of the ways that Gallegos has been preparing for her higher education is by getting involved in many organizations that help her develop academically and as a person.

Gallegos has been part of four clubs throughout her years in high school: High-Q, robotics, choir and orchestra. And being part of all four clubs has made her improve in many aspects.

“I actually learned teamwork in a way, something that I don’t learn in normal school because I hate every body. I also learned to work faster because of the deadlines,” Gallegos said.

It has also been a challenge to manage the time spent on each activity including the work needed for her classes.

“I tend to organize my activities depending on how much time i have, what days i can or can’t go. If I’m free or not,” Gallegos said.

One of her main passions is music, which she expresses by being in the orchestra as a violinist, yet she also enjoys to play the piano.

“The violin I started playing this year but i was playing the piano before that and I discovered my love for music when i was little. I had a piano there and I just started to play random notes, I would listen to songs and play the melodies and I liked it,” Gallegos said.
