Although Mrs. Lafon had studied to become a business administrator, her love for teaching took her to the path of becoming a geometry teacher.

“I didn’t study to become a teacher I wanted to be a business administrator. I always loved teaching since I can remember, since little I always liked to explain things,” Mrs. Lafon said.

When she was younger, she looked for a career that would not interfere with her quality time from home and her family. Since she had a passion for teaching when she was younger, becoming a teacher seemed like a right choice to her. Apart from teaching geometry, she also takes part in all of the New Tech activities and also tutoring for math.

“I don’t have a formal job that I get paid for outside of school, but just do everything in my house and also take care of my father who is ill and take care of him after school,” Mrs. Lafon said.

Mrs. Lafon also said, that whenever a student says they understand the subject, it gives her a good feeling because she thinks she did something right and believes that it is the most important part about teaching.

“I think when I see student say I understand that gives me like a very good feeling and it tells me that I’m doing something right thats the most important thing when student actually get math,” Mrs. Lafon said
