Sept. 16: National Working Parents Day

Danielle Gonzalez and Jessica Gonzalez

On September 16 of every year we celebrate National Working Parents Day. We as students should be grateful for the parents we have because without them we wouldn’t be here. Not only that but they have done a lot for us. Here are some interviews from students about National Working Parents Day.

Eduardo Moreno, 11

No, I didn’t know that September 16 we celebrate National Working Parents Day. I always tell my mom I appreciate her with all my heart because she is a very hardworking women. I do my best effort and school and I don’t do bad things that make her disappointed because that the less I could do. I do the same as my mom, I am a worker and I do my best effort in life to make her happy.

No, I didn’t know that September 16 we celebrate National Working Parents Day. I always tell my mom I appreciate her because she’s my hero and she gives me everything that she can and I love her. I know I’m capable of doing more for my mom, but I always say thank you because is not easy being a mom and I’m very thankful for the mom I have.

Natalie Flores, 12

No, I didn’t know that September 16 we celebrate National Working Parents Day. Most of the time well always tell my mom I appreciate her so much not only because I love her but also because of everything she has done for me and my sisters. She works hard and she is a very good single mother and gives everything she can for us. I always try to tell her that I love her so much and help her in whatever ways I can. I think I do the same as my mother in the way that I help my sisters, I also take care of them and teach them how to behave.

No, I didn’t know that September 16 we celebrate National Working Parents Day. I tell my mom I appreciate her because she is the one that buys everything for me and she gives me advices, also because she brought me to life. I talk to her, I show her off things that I’ve done for her or I give her things, I know its not much for her but is the least I can do to show her how grateful I am for having her.
