After the first practice she felt that the team was going to do better this year. In the first game she started to feel nervous but saw that her teammates keep her positive and helped her gain conference. She saw that they could win more games if they stuck together and worked hard. She felt that the coach was really good coach and made her want to be on the team.
The tennis team is very different from last year. This year the tennis team has more players involved and are winning more games. More people show up to practice and want to win. This year the tennis team started off with a great season they won their first two games.
“I see this team with great improvement compared to last year,” head coach Anthony Huerta said.
Huerta, said that with the great start the had this year the have even won more games than last year. Last year they did not win a single game.
“The difference between this year and last year is that more people are going and we are winning more games,” Rodriguez said.
Rodriguez, said that to get better she tries her best in games and goes to practice and is working for her very well.
“We begin the season by winning and more people are going,” Lizbeth Montiel, 11 said.
Montiel, said she tries her best in practice, and move constantly and quickly.
“The boys have experience but the girls are barely learning,” Huerta said.
Huerta, said he has one this for four years.
“I just joined tennis just because I wanted to try it,” Rodriguez said
Rodriguez said she has done this since freshman year and she is still playing and tennis became his favorite sport.
“I joined tennis because I wanted to try something new,” Montiel said.
Montiel, said she joined this year’s first semester and she is enjoying what is doing.
“The best players are Manuel Trevizo and Kevin Reyes,” Rodriguez said.
Rodriguez said that these two players are the ones who work harder to achieve wins, not just that they never miss practice and they help others who need help thats why there are the two most valuable players of the team.
“Kevin Reyes is the best player in the team,” Montiel said
Montiel, said that this player works very hard and he is always practicing, helping others, and improving to get better and better.
Huerta said that they’ve never won district and always stride to do so.
